Stock Market Today : Amid disappointing economic data from China, the Indian stock markets opened on a positive note on Monday, the first working day of the week.
The BSE Sensex was trading at 83,071.86, up 180.92 points in early trade. Nifty-50 also saw a rise and was trading at 25,411.60 with 55.1 points. Later, the Nifty jumped 89.2 points to a new record level of 25,445.70.
Top Gainers
Among Sensex companies, NTPC, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Finance witnessed the maximum gains.
Top Losers
On the other hand, shares of Hindustan Unilever, Nestle, ICICI Bank and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) were trading in the red.
Meanwhile, the probability that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 50 basis points rose to 59% from 30% a week ago.

Other Asian markets were weak today. The MSCI Asia ex-Japan index was also trading flat. Wall Street stocks closed higher on Friday as comments from key Fed officials raised the prospect of an aggressive 50-bps rate cut.
IPOs of these companies will open today
Indian food-delivery platform Swiggy is considering filing papers for its IPO as soon as this week. Bajaj Housing Finance (Mainline), Tolins Tyres (Mainline), Aditya Ultra Steel (SME), Cross (Mainline), Shubhashree Biofuels Energy (SME), Share Samadhan Ltd (SME) and Gajanand International (SME) will list on the stock exchange today while the IPOs of Arcade Developers (Mainline), Ocell Devices (SME), Northern Arc Capital (SME) and Pellatro Ltd (SME) will open for bids.
